I’ve never really liked listening to ‘new’ music like hip hop, pop, rap etc. I’ve always rather preferred an old school kinda sound or rock and indie stuff like The Hives and Belle and Sebastian, Dirty Pretty Things and The Thrills.
I was listening to The Pipettes the other day and their song ‘Pull Shapes’ was seriously stuck in my head for two days now already! So I Youtube-ed the video and had a blast with the doo wop sounds and dance moves!
I love how they gave an authentic old video feel to it. The dancing is way adorable! Check out ‘Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me’ too

It’s been almost a year since the last blog post! Wow! Time flies! Work has been crazy busy but I did take some time away to attend my high school friend’s wedding solemnisation in Kuala Lumpur. I can’t believe everyone’s growing up! Not only did Norms and Saif get married but another high school mate proposed to his girlfriend too within this time! Congrats Norms and Saif! Married! Congrats Hairul and Beck! Engaged! Let us know when we have to head Down Under hey?

Amidst all this excitement it so happened that Urbanscapes KL-2009 was happening the same weekend I was in good olde KL. Urbanscapes is a festival celebrating the local Malaysian arts scene so there were bands, indie flicks, artwork and the like around. And a Marketplace!

The event was held at KLPac. It’s really awesome spot. An arts house built amongst old building ruins…really appealed to me with the parks and ponds around. Pity I didn’t get many pics of the place. Busy trying to shop!

So yeah, we’ve been busy getting ourselves jobs and in the process the lovely Junkshion had to entertain herself/himself for a bit. Hmm…if this blog were a person would it be a male or female? OK…Junkshion had to entertain itself. Lucky me that my fingers didn’t type out “play with itself”. Knowing me and my awkward speech moments. Seriously embarrassing and I don’t even realise it. Sheesh.
Moving on from my incessant ramblings, we have moved the shop to another page cause Faeza and I thought we’d try keeping Junkshion a little bit livelier by trying to blog regularly. Which will probably end up being sporadically. Heh. So to view the loverly items we have on sale, simply click on the Junk Shop! tab and view away! “Buy! Buy! I’m a little iffy about posting up outfit pics but I do want this blog to kind of serve as an outfit diary of sorts. There are times where I tend to forget what I wore what with. In a way it is good I suppose as you approach your clothing with a clean slate so to speak. Anyhow, here’s what I wore a few days back:

I kinda named this outfit PoloPrep. I grabbed these purple tights when I saw them months ago cause they were so unique but I took the longest time wondering what to pair it with! Since the logo on my polo tee was purple, I thought I’d give the tights a go and at the same time throw in more colour with my green skirt. I love this skirt. But maybe I’m biased cause green is my favorite colour. I adore the buttons and sash tie on the waist. I got quite a number of stares and double takes on the way to the office and back and also at lunch. Ha ha! Ah well, I like it so whatever. I felt real preppy that day! Like I was gonna go back to high school! And having the burst of colours greet me as I looked down was smile inducing!
I just realised that the green and purple with checkered-ish patterns resonates The Joker’s get up. “Why so serious?” Put a lil’ colour in your daily outfit!
